“Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.”
I’ve always loved that that is a real sentence.
Not sure what buffalo have to do with the Restoration Ball, but there they are:
Some Googling leads me to believe this is an event put on by the Jefferson Society. While I would usually take this opportunity to rip on those self-important debaters, I must say they have many elements of a good painting: thick coverage, stylized font, detailed stencil work, cryptic text (what is TT FF?), and cryptic symbology (buffalo and German eagle). At the time of writing this, the copyright on their website has not been updated in two years, but it appears to confirm the identity of the Restoration Ball Chair from the UVA Today story.
Update (3/20/12): I found out TTFF is for a big arts festival, the TomTom Founder’s Festival, happening in Cville starting next month. Check it out!
Also happening: Relay for Life (which has a well-organized and current event website).
